Project Overview:

In collaboration with Amazon, our project initiated with a broad brief to explore how technology can better support customers as they age in place. Through extensive research and exploration, our team identified and redefined the scope of 'Alexa Together' to better accommodate the needs of multi-generational households, emphasizing collaborative caregiving and intuitive use of technology.

Challenges Addressed:

Reducing Caregiver Burden: We focused on alleviating the stress and burden on family members who manage caregiving duties, often juggling these responsibilities with their personal and professional lives.

Collaborative Care: By promoting the use of collaborative technology, the project shifts the caregiving paradigm from isolated to unified support, ensuring all caregivers can participate effectively.

Knowledge and Tool Access: Ensuring caregivers are equipped with the necessary skills and tools to provide high-quality care without compromising their health.

Solutions and Enhancements:

By redefining and enhancing Alexa Together, we introduced features that fostered a more supportive caregiving environment. These included streamlined task management, enhanced monitoring capabilities, and better integration of health management tools. Our design refinements aimed to make the technology more accessible and less intimidating to caregivers, many of whom were not previously familiar with smart home technologies.
